Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 22, 2026

Munchi helps parents and caregivers track their children's meals and basic health. We built it privacy-first. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have.

Who this is for

Munchi accounts are created and controlled by a parent or caregiver (an adult). Children do not create accounts or sign in. Information about a child is entered by the adult who owns the account.

What we store

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Where it's stored

Your data is stored on your device and synced to our backend so it's available across your devices and to caregivers you explicitly invite. Access is protected by row-level security: only you (and caregivers you invite) can read or write your children's data. Food nutrition entries contribute to a shared, anonymous food catalog so search improves for everyone — these records contain no information about your children.

Diagnostics

Crash and error diagnostics are handled on-device and are not shared with third parties. (If this changes, this policy will be updated before any third-party reporting is enabled.)

Your controls

Children's privacy

Because Munchi is operated by adults on behalf of their children, we minimize what we collect to only what's needed to provide the tracking and reporting features. We never knowingly let a child create an account or contact us directly.
